Arena is inspired by the world of motorsport. Here, speed has become part of watch architecture — from the case construction to every line of the dial. In the new model, engineers and designers sought to convey the feeling of motion not only functionally but also visually.
At the heart of the collection is the automatic mechanical chronograph Seiko NE88. This is one of the most renowned sports calibres, equipped with a column wheel and vertical clutch, which ensure smooth chronograph startup and high measurement accuracy.
Special attention has been paid to the case construction. Its architecture is built around a unique inner two‑tone capsule, which allowed for large openworked case elements. Similar solutions are found only in select models from world‑renowned watchmakers. Apart from its striking appearance, this construction makes the case visually lighter and significantly complicates the manufacturing process.
Every detail of the case supports the collection’s automotive concept:
- The chronograph pushers resemble engine pistons;
- polished facets echo the shape of air intakes on sports cars.
The dial is equally complex. Its multi‑layered composition resembles the relief of a racing track with numerous turns. A ring scale runs along the perimeter, inspired by legendary racetracks, while the distinctive hour markers allude to iconic automotive emblems. Despite the many elements, the dial remains easy to read thanks to its well‑thought‑out composition.
The sporty character of the model is emphasised by the tachymeter scale on the bezel. Together with the central seconds hand, it allows you to calculate speed — a function traditionally used in sports chronographs.
The collection features:
- a domed sapphire crystal;
- water resistance to 5 bar;
- luminous coating on the hands and applied indices for easy reading in the dark.
Great care has also been taken with the presentation. Each watch comes in a leather case with a natural‑leather shuber. The set also includes:
- a leather storage pouch;
- a branded fountain pen;
- a branded pin;
- a microfiber cloth;
- a spring‑bar tool for strap changes;
- a product passport.
