Sputnik-1 is the first artificial Earth satellite in the history of mankind, launched in the Soviet Union on October 4, 1957. Its code designation is «PS-1». The PS-1 flight lasted 90 days, during which it made 1,440 orbits around our planet. The launch of the satellite clearly showed people that the sky is not solid and that space flight is generally possible.
«Sputnik PS-1» is a new limited edition collection of «Luch» watches dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the launch of the first Earth satellite. The collection features 2 unisex models: one with a black dial and a genuine leather strap, the second with a blue dial and a stainless steel bracelet (Milanese mesh).
The case is made of stainless steel, the glass is mineral, the movement is quartz. Some elements on the dial and glass are applied in silver. Each model has its own unique number engraved on the back cover.
